Hey! Yep, just me again sharing some pattern ideas for our May yarn club!
Find out what I’m making below, along with some other great (and some free!) patterns I think would be amazing with this month’s skein too!
This month I’ll be making an opposite pair of Jelly Roll Socks by Orange Knits Designs
Oh hi! Just popping in to share some pattern ideas for our April yarn club!
Find out what I’m making below, along with some other great (and some free!) patterns I think would be amazing with this month’s skein too!
This month I’ll be making a pair of Morning Coffee Socks by Crazy Sock Lady Designs.
Is it March already? Oof, those first three months flew by.
This month I’ll be making a pair of My Favourite Vanilla Socks by Meaghan Schmaltz. This is a free pattern, and I’ll be using a Brine Dyeworks mini for a contrast toe/heel. I think I’m going to use a Brownie mini, but I also think Toasted, Nori and Brulee would be amazing.
I’m excited that this months yarn club is 2 x 50gram skeins from Robin at Rose Hill Yarns.
This month I’ll be making a pair of two color Sprocket Socks by Megan Nodecker
Hi guys! As we’re right around the corner from the first month of the January Yarn Club being released I thought it might be fun to put together a handful of patterns that I think would look great with the yarn January Rose Hips by Blush Yarns.
I’m going to make the Kindling Socks by Lindsay Fowler
Happy Thursday, friends! I feel like I’ve shared a few posts about yarn, but haven’t shared much about the tools you use to make things with said yarn.
My favourite knitting needles (and crochet hooks.. you know for those 2-3 times I crochet a year 😂) are by far Lykke, with a very close second being Chiaogoo.. but more on that later!
Wool and the Gang has arrived at our little Canadian corner of the yarn store world!
I’m not sure about you guys, but I’ve loved working with Wool and the Gang Crazy Sexy Wool for the past few years – its a great market prep yarn (super bulky forever!), and the yardage is very generous for the price!
There are a so many things I love about the Wool and the Gang company – but how they approach sustainability is my favorite… They ethically source their wool – its 100% mulesing-free. 63% of their yarn is biodegradable, 47% is vegan and 32% is recycled or upcycled.
Hi! As we start to gear up for fall I thought I would write a little post on a question I get asked all the time!
What size faux fur pom pom should I use?
The answer is truly whatever size you want! But here is what I usually suggest:
In case you haven’t seen me blasting Malabrigo Rasta through out our instagram – I’m here to tell you we’ve finally started carrying my favourite of their yarns.
Rasta is a luxurious, kettle dyed super bulky yarn.. It’s slightly felted and single ply. It’s a total dream to work with, especially for those of you that do market/fall prep.
I am so happy to be stocking Malabrigo in our Canadian based online yarn shop!
