Step 1: Thread the pom pom ties through your darning needle.
Step 2: Insert the darning needle through the decrease stitches at the top of your hat
Step 3: Thread the other pom pom tie through your darning needle and insert equal distance from your other tie.
Step 4: Inside out your hat and tie a knot with a bow.
Step 5: Inside your hat back the right way.
Step 6: Voila! You’re all done!
Kimberly from CoziKnots has made this amazing video for us to show you how we suggest attaching your faux fur pom pom to your hat. You can easily detach your pom pom to either switch up the color of your pom pom, wear it without a pom pom, or to wash your hat!

Thank you for this tutorial, very comprehensive and well done. Much of what I have explored on your site has definitely inspired me! I do, however, have a silly question: the blanket behind the pom pom tutorial- did you make that? Is it crochet or fabric? Does it have a fabric/yarn name? I have a newborn coming and that material caught my eye š thank you for any answers, and I apologize for it being unrelated to the post topic
Hi there,
This was actually made by Kimberly at CoziKnots so I’m not 100% sure but it looks like its a fabric maybe a sherpa style?
Sorry I couldn’t be more help!
Stacey
