Can you guys believe we’re almost through November already? This year really has just flown right by us and now the holidays are practically here already! I am really looking forward to those morning snowfalls and spending the day by the fire working on my projects with a cup of hot chocolate. Speaking of projects, how’s everyone’s fall and winter projects coming along? I hope my last post gave you some inspiration for your holiday projects. If not, don’t fret because today, my yarny friends, we’re going to talk about twelve gift ideas for those special knitters in your life. One for each of the 12 days of Christmas! Feel free to pass this list on to someone you love who wants to buy you a gift.

1. Progress Markers

I love these pretty little trinkets, made to help knitters keep track of their progress on a project. Twill and Print makes the cutest ones, and my favorite out of the bunch we have has to be the flower ones, they just have such a cute charm to them. These are a wonderful gift for any knitter regardless of skill level.

2. Blocking Mats

Blocking mats are an essential tool for knitters to have at their disposal, they are a must when it comes to finishing projects. They are incredibly useful as they are able to help garments fit better and for pieces to look more balanced in terms of symmetry. In addition, they can be used for both large and small-scale projects.

3. Sock Sets

A sock set makes a wonderful stocking stuffer for a beginner-level knitter! Here at Rose and Purl, we carry sock sets that are stunning in color and in luxury that even a well-versed knitter will love!

4. Project Bags

For those on-the-go knitters, a stylish tote is a thoughtful gift as there is such a variety to choose from. You’ll be sure to find one that is unique to their aesthetic and needs as some even come with pockets for convenient storage. These work great for keeping projects and supplies together in one convenient place that is easy to travel with. I love these canvas ones from Twig & Horn.

5. Stitch Markers

These are another essential item on a knitter’s tool belt. Stitch markers are ideal for those who get a little lost in thought while knitting or struggle with keeping count. Not to mention these are super convenient when taking projects on the go. These Itty Bitty Kittie ones are just the cutest!

6. Interchangeable Needle Sets

These are a must-have for knitters at any experience level! A variety of projects require needles of different sizes in order to complete them. Having a set of needles is super convenient as they’ll stay together in one place saving you from needless trips to the craft store. In my opinion, this set of Lykke ones are the best.

7. Embroidery Kits

Hook, Line & Tinker curates these super beginner-friendly kits we have on the website. Since they come packed with everything needed, all that’s left to do for you is the wrapping! These work great for anyone who is either just getting into knitting or a longtime knitter wanting to try something new.

8. Woven Labels

Labels are a great way to make pieces that much more personable! They’re so customizable making them easy to tailor to the individual. Who knows, they might just knit you something and put one of these labels on it- it’s a gift that keeps on giving!

9. Hand-dyed Yarn

Knitters obsess over new shades and textures of hand-dyed yarn. A skein of luxury yarn makes a beautiful gift for someone who pours their hearts into their projects. Synthetic yarns fail to even hold a candle to the quality and vibrancy of these luxury yarns. They’re simply unmatched.

10. Patterns

You can never have enough patterns to choose from! This is a wonderful gift for any knitter really as they are able to expand their pattern collection and learn new styles. Patterns are a great way to build up your resume as a knitter.

11. Swatch Measurers

This knitting tool is excellent when it comes to working out gauge swatches. By placing the tool over your work you can see how many stitches you have per inch and per cm. I love this one from Unwrapped Yarn.

12. Knitters Necklaces

I’m just crazy about this necklace with crystals and gemstones that serves as a stitch marker keeper. It opens and closes easily so that you can access your notions easily while you knit or crochet. And it’s so pretty!

There you have it! Ten gift ideas for knitters that they are sure to love this winter season. I am sure these have given you plenty of ideas to choose from when it comes to picking out gifts this year. I hope you all have a wonderful start to this year’s Christmas season!
